Scale recipes up or down with intelligent fraction handling
Baking is chemistry! While this tool scales ingredients mathematically, some adjustments may be needed for large scale changes. Baking times and temperatures may need tweaking for very large or small batches.
When scaling recipes, be cautious with salt, spices, and strong seasonings. They don't always scale linearly - it's better to start with less and add more to taste. This is especially true when doubling or tripling recipes.
Cooking times don't scale proportionally! A doubled recipe in a larger pan may take slightly longer, but not twice as long. Check for doneness using visual cues and temperature rather than just time.
